Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering and using Shiksha Portals, the school (hereinafter referred to as “Institution”) agrees to abide by the terms and conditions laid out in this agreement. These terms are subject to revision and updates at the discretion of Shiksha Portals.

2. User Eligibility

  • Only verified educational institutions are permitted to use the platform.

  • Accurate information must be provided during registration, and any falsification may result in termination of access.

3. Services Offered

Shiksha Portals provides:

  • A complete school management system including student enrollment, attendance, timetable, exam & report card modules.

  • A customizable website for the institution with one-click deployment.

  • Communication tools for parents, teachers, and administration.

4. Data Privacy and Security

  • All student, teacher, and institutional data is stored securely and is not shared with any third party without consent.

  • Shiksha Portals complies with data protection regulations and implements industry-standard security practices.

  • Institutions are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

5. Payment and Subscription

  • Institutions must pay the subscription fee as per the selected plan.

  • Delayed or failed payments may result in restricted access or suspension of services.

  • No refunds are issued unless otherwise specified in a separate SLA (Service Level Agreement).

6. Content Ownership

  • The Institution retains ownership of all content uploaded (student records, announcements, academic data).

  • Shiksha Portals retains the right to use anonymized data for platform improvement and analytics.

7. Platform Usage Rules

  • The Institution agrees not to misuse, duplicate, reverse-engineer, or exploit the software.

  • Any misuse of the portal or breach of conduct may lead to termination of services.

  • The school is responsible for ensuring ethical and lawful use of the platform by all users (students, staff, admin).

8. Support and Maintenance

  • Regular updates and maintenance will be carried out to enhance security and performance.

  • Support is available via email, chat, or phone during working hours.

9. Termination of Services

  • Either party may terminate the agreement with prior notice as per the subscription terms.

  • Upon termination, data will be available for export for a limited period.

10. Modifications

  • Shiksha Portals reserves the right to update the Terms & Conditions and will notify the Institution via email or platform notification.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • Shiksha Portals is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the platform.

  • The maximum liability is limited to the fees paid by the Institution in the previous billing cycle.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.
