Refund Policy

Last Updated: 1st May, 2026

Effective Date: 1st May, 2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy governs software subscriptions, implementation fees, custom development services, and hardware integration support purchased through Shiksha Portals ([https://shikshaportals.com/](https://shikshaportals.com/)), operated and managed by Shilvora Software Pvt. Ltd. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

By subscribing to or purchasing our cloud-based school management software, mobile apps, or associated services, you ("School," "Educational Institution," or "Subscriber") agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Overview of Subscription & Services

Shiksha Portals operates as a multi-tenant Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform billed on a recurring subscription basis (monthly, annual, or multi-year terms). Because our services involve cloud infrastructure allocation, AI module integrations, dedicated onboarding support, and custom domain setup, our refund and cancellation terms are structured to account for these operational commitments.

2. Subscription Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation Timing: Schools may cancel their subscription at any time prior to the next billing cycle. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to info@shikshaportals.com or through your administrative billing dashboard.

  • Effective Date of Cancellation: Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current, already-paid billing period. You will retain full access to your admin panels, student databases, and connected mobile apps until the conclusion of that paid term.

  • No Partial Refunds: We do not provide prorated refunds, partial credits, or fee reversals for mid-term cancellations or unused days within an active billing cycle.

3. Refund Eligibility & Trial Periods

  • Evaluation / Live Demo: Prior to purchasing a subscription, schools are encouraged to explore our Live Demo and interactive walkthroughs available on [https://shikshaportals.com/](https://shikshaportals.com/) to ensure the platform meets their institutional requirements.

  • Standard No-Refund Policy: Except as expressly outlined in Section 4 (Defect or Service Unavailability), all subscription fees, onboarding fees, setup charges, and custom integration costs are non-refundable.

  • Advance Payments: Advance payments for multi-year contracts or discounted long-term plans are non-refundable once the account has been provisioned and onboarding has commenced.

4. Exceptions: Service Outages or Technical Defects

Refunds or service credits may be considered on a case-by-case basis under the following exceptional circumstances:

  1. Unresolved Critical Platform Outages: If Shiksha Portals experiences a total, unmitigated core system outage exceeding ninety-nine percent (99.9%) uptime SLAs (excluding scheduled maintenance) that prevents core school operations (such as attendance or fee collection) for a continuous period exceeding 72 business hours, and our technical support team fails to resolve the issue.

  2. Billing Errors: Verified duplicate billing, accidental overcharges, or incorrect tier billing caused by system errors will be fully refunded or credited back to the original payment source within 7 to 10 business days upon verification.

5. Implementation, Training, and Setup Fees

  • 7-Day Live Guarantee & Onboarding: Our onboarding packages include dedicated support professionals to bring your school live within 7 days.

  • Non-Refundability of Setup Services: Once implementation, data migration (CSV/Excel student imports), staff training, or custom domain configuration services have commenced, setup and implementation fees are strictly non-refundable, regardless of whether the school chooses to proceed with full software deployment.

6. Third-Party Fees and Payment Gateway Charges

  • Payment Gateways: Fees processed through third-party payment gateways (such as Razorpay, Paytm, or HDFC) integrated with your fee collection module are subject to the respective gateway provider's terms. Shiksha Portals is not responsible for transaction convenience fees, merchant commissions, or gateway MDR charges deducted during parent fee payments, and such fees cannot be refunded by us.

7. Data Export Upon Cancellation

Upon valid subscription cancellation and account termination:

  • Schools will be provided a designated window (typically 30 days) to export their institutional databases, student records, and financial histories.

  • Following this grace period, all tenant data stored on our secure AWS cloud infrastructure will be securely archived and permanently deleted in accordance with our data retention protocols and privacy standards.

8. Changes to This Policy

Shilvora Software Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to amend, modify, or update this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted directly on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Shiksha Portals following any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
